We have a wonderful line up of artists lined up for 2018 some new faces and some familiar ones also.
We start the year with Rebecca Moreledge whose cheerful illustrations will certainly cheer you up through this winter month.
'Rebecca studied illustration at Derby University and is inspired by children’s book illustrators especially Quentin Blake and Shirley Hughes. Her paintings capture local towns, streets, and people. She is particularly interested in buildings and rooftops, she feels they are often the most beautiful part of the building and that we so very rarely notice them in our busy lives especially in towns and cities. She uses watercolours and ink to create her paintings and they take many hours to complete due to the detail involved in each painting.'
The idea of a Moon Almanac evolved from my move to a new area and the first year of settling in a different environment. January's Wolf Moon was inspired by the local peak and landmark and provided a case study suitable for the television programme. As a remarkable coincidence the tv crew arrived on the morning of January's full moon with a magic landscape covered in thick snow. This memorable experience sparked off a new series based on moon cycles, a fascinating way of responding to life as it evolves.’
